Rollerbeetle Racing: Same winners in top 100?
I noticed that the top 100 is littered with the same players who keep getting high times, shouldent there best time just be posted in the top 100 times and not just because they got another time which is a tad slower, to give a chance for someone else to be in the top 100?

I agree, however seeing as the top 100 get a prize you have to factor that in, this may just be Anet overlooking a detail and in that case it will be fixed with a quick patch or they put it in there for a reason ^^

Unfortunately it won't be fixed, I asked Gaile about this on the GW wiki:

Since last year, changes to Guild Wars may help address the problem of one person capturing multiple top 100 placements. Because remember, we recently added the Dishonorable Combatant System that "awards" dishonor points to those who don't play fairly. So this year, if someone tries to "play the system" with frequent quit-outs (which we saw last year) he or she will reap dishonor points. Those points will result in a time out from the races, meaning those who try the quit-out work-around will have less time to compete and fewer hours to achieve high placement.
I must admit that having the system run account-based rather than character-based would be real nice, but we were not able to make that change. Let's give the whole experience a review after the event to see if the DCS helps make Rollerbeetle Racing more fun and more lucrative for a larger number of players. Thanks for letting me know about your concerns.

In my opinion the dishonorable hex actually makes things even worse, since top players that have multiple accounts can easily switch between them when they get dishonored, giving them even more chance at getting multiple rewards. At the moment one particular player already has more than 25 of the top 100 times...

I see there's no point in me doing roller beetle races, good to know that on the outset, I'll spend that time collecting ingredients so that all may benefit
edit: sync racing probably eh?

I thought they stated last year that the 100 prizes would go to the 100 accounts with the top times, so having half of the top scores would only get you one prize, and not being on the list did not mean you didn't get one either.
Whether this was the case or not I don't know, the top 100 display has always been this way to my knowledge.
Do we even know whether there is going to be a prize for the top 100 this new year?

the dishonarable hex is fine in attempting to curb people resigning mid race when they know they wont win with a top 100 time, but seriously why give dishonor points for resigning out when the race has FINISHED?
Many people do this to save 10-20 secs each race and over the weekend this adds up for gamer point farming

There were a couple guys with dial-up complaining that they got dishonor because it took too long for them to enter the game.
Sync racing? Yeah, I can see how bigger guilds could do something like that, and to get on the highscore you don't want to have any knockdowns.

They should just give a mini rollerbeetle to every single player who participates in rollerbeetle racing. Easy solution, everyone's happy (other than a few complaining about about their mini no longer being worth a ludicrous amount of Ectos, but oh well, can't please everyone so it's okay if they lose out on that.)

Actually one guy has 37 scores on the on the ladder meaning he has over 1/3 of the ladder.
IMO it should be that one account can have maximum of one score on the ladder.

Only those people on the top 100 will get prizes. Also, only 1 prize per account. So yes, only about 30-40 people will get minipets at this rate, making them basically as rare as kanaxai or panda or everlasting beetle juice tonic.

So lets theoretically say that we have 3 players who at the end of the weekend have 25 top 100 places each, equalling 75 in total. We know they wont get 25 'prizes' each, thats ok.
The problem we do have though is that if no one else gets 'bumped' up into the top 100 it leaves about 70 potential 'prizes' that will not be given out to other players.
Anet doesnt think there is anything wrong with that??
Why cant they just give prizes to the top 100 hundred accounts in the list, is it that hard?
